The Tail of Despereaux, Beautiful Creatures, Percy Jackson

I love reading books, and then watching movies based on that book, but the thing that bothers me the most is when the two are really different. They say that the book is usually better than the movie, but occasionally, they're pretty much the same. Personally, I like when the book and movie are the same. One of the movies that I have seen that I didn't like even though I liked the book, was The Tail of Despereaux. I remember listening to that book, as well as loving it when I was a little kid. Years later a movie based on that book came out and I was so excited to see! The beginning was okay, but I didn't like the rest of it at all. There were things in the movie that weren't even remotely similar to the book, as well as some things that were completely made up and were not even in the movie. Another book that wasn't like it's movie was Beautiful Creatures. I had seen the movie while on a plane, and i thought it was pretty good. That is, until I read the books. They were very different and had a lot of missing characters in the movie that I wish would have been included. The first two books of the Percy Jackson  series were made into movies. I  loved the books, but the movies were horrible. Actually, the movies wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't read the books because they're so much better. They missed key scenes and replaced them with scenes that had one thing similar and everything else different. I get that movies can't fit all the information, but the first movie was pretty much nothing like the book.
